Just What the Match Needs.

When you create a seeker account, we collect your name, email, password (hashed), closest city, and the resume PDF you upload. When you apply to a listing, the employer receives your parsed profile and the resume file you uploaded for that role. Employers provide a company name, contact email, and a billing record handled by our payment processor.

We log basic technical metadata — IP address, browser, request paths — for security and debugging. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on the site.

Reading Resumes, Carefully.

The resume you upload is parsed into structured fields — roles, years, skills, education — by our matching system. Those fields feed an experience-gate that decides which listings you qualify for and your displayed match score. Your resume content is never used to train any third-party model. We do not sell parsed profiles to data brokers, period.

SQLite, Encrypted at Rest.

Cascadia Career runs on a single-tenant SQLite database with disk-level encryption, hosted on our own infrastructure in the Pacific Northwest. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Resume files are stored on encrypted object storage with strict access controls. We back up the database nightly and retain backups for fourteen days.

We Don't Sell. We Don't Share.

Your profile is only visible to employers when you explicitly apply to a listing or opt into their candidate search. We do not sell email addresses, share profiles with advertisers, or pass data to outside recruiters. If we ever need to disclose data under a lawful court order, we will notify the affected user where the law permits.
